Speaker 2:

And that is where we are. That is where we are Like true VIPs. We are the VIPs. Yes, we are Debbie.

Speaker 1:

I was thinking it's almost the end of October, yeah, and October, yeah, and people are going to start to think about something. And if they get an early start, I learned this once I thought somebody said you should start a diet. Get on a diet or start taking care of yourself health wise come January. And then somebody else said wait a minute, get started now. Why start? Why wait? Yeah, and I listened and I started and I was way ahead of everybody else, oh yeah, cause you had to really Taking care of myself doing the right things, making great decisions, starting early, starting that practice, starting the repetition.

Speaker 1:

Doing the right things when everybody else is stuffing their face. And then you're like miles ahead of them, you don't put on all those 10 extra pounds you don't have to catch up with. Or and that affects your skin, it affects. I just wondered is there a guest you might have that might help us with this?

Speaker 2:

Funny. You should ask that Today we have Lucia Ceremelli. She is the owner of Color Vanity Holistic Med and Cryotherapy Spa in Boardman. So many people don't even know that this place is there, but it is incredible, and she offers state-of-the-art options and beauty treatments and recovery treatments that people don't even know is available in Youngstown, and so I'm super excited to introduce you to LaGia.

Speaker 1:

So we got LA here without the LA. Yes, yes, yeah, there we go.

Speaker 2:

LA without the price tag.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

LA with the Y-O-U.

Speaker 1:

Without the price tag and the fakeness. There we go. Yeah, you're right, not sorry. La, but you are fake, little fake. Just a tad.

Speaker 2:

LA and Miami are friends.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, there's a direct internet connection there.

Speaker 2:

Yes, All right. So yeah, we have. In fact, Lucia actually, I believe, did a lot of her training for some of the things that she's able to offer and really skilled at in some of the bigger cities, and has chosen to bring it to Youngstown as an offering for us here, which is amazing.

Speaker 3:

Thanks, debbie, and you look beautiful by the way you look glowing, glowing.

Speaker 2:

Yes yes, you look yeah. So tell us yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 1:

I'll let Rachel make that decision. I'm not going to make that decision.

Speaker 3:

Smart, smart guy.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so tell us a little bit about who you are and Color Vanity. Should we start there, greg Sure, what do you want to start?

Speaker 1:

Okay, A little bit of a background, but I'd love to know what got you inspired in this. What was the happen that you went? Oh, I don't want anybody else to ever go through this. I want to be a champion for this. What happened in your life that you care.

Speaker 3:

So I really believe that things can be fixed. Like I'm a little tenacious when it comes to that, Like I don't give up Debbie knows and I think that if you have a problem, there's a solution, you know. And when it comes to your health, I think that if there's a problem, there should be a natural solution. I think the body could really heal itself. I don't think we give the body enough credit and I also think when it comes to beauty, that's the easy part, right, Because that can usually be a quick fix. You don't like your brows, you fix it.

Speaker 3:

You don't like hair. You don't like your hair. You get hair extensions. Luckily with beauty, especially in today's day and age, you can fix things you don't like. I just think, instead of complaining about stuff you don't like, if you don't feel good, if you're tired, if you're sore, if you don't want to age rapidly, there's all these things now we have that you can do to fix it and I've always believed that in some capacity. So, basically, being in the beauty world when I was younger, I got involved with health. The health food store and different communities like that pretty much promoted natural healing, natural beauty and I really exactly.

Speaker 3:

Exactly so. I really embraced it and my skin as a young makeup artist freaked out. And it didn't freak out when everybody else's did. It freaked out when I was in my twenties, so I know right, lucky me. So here I am trying to promote makeup and I'm being sent to all these like places and Beachwood and to do women's makeup. I was even like makeup artist for Saks and I'm showing up with bad skin and I'm getting beat down for it.

Speaker 3:

People are looking at me like, why are you talking about skin and yours doesn't look so good, right? So that early on, inspired me to like really figure out okay, that didn't feel good. How do I fix it? And I'm not real into a prescription medication. I didn't want to have to take Accutane. I didn't want to have to go that route. Medication I didn't want to have to take Accutane. I didn't want to have to go that route. So being involved in the whole health world got me really inspired to internally fix that problem that I personally was dealing with, which I know is a huge struggle for so many people. And when you don't feel good, when you don't feel like you look good, you don't feel good. Nobody can walk around saying this bothers me, but I'm happy about it like it does take a toll on your self-esteem.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and how you feel I think they're. Honestly, there's more of a stigma when a woman has those issues than a man oh sure yeah right we're very judgmental.

Speaker 3:

We're very unfortunately, a judgmental culture and you're judged first and foremost in the first five to ten seconds on your appearance. How do you show up? People, judge, judge, and especially if you're trying to be in the beauty world or a makeup artist, you can't show up with the skin that I had, but unfortunately I was doing everything I could to fix it. It just was. It just was the luck of the draw. It just it happened to me in my twenties. It was not flattering and it was not fun and I really wanted to help people because I know how bad that affected me. I know how that made me feel. Yeah, I didn't want to wear a lot of face makeup. I wear less makeup now at 39 years old than I did in my early 20s, you know because I was able to fix it.

Speaker 3:

So I want to help people like on so many capacities. But you asked what kind of really got me like psychopath about the internal health, how to heal yourself. Naturally it really started because of my you know, facial appearance, like because of my skin.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, isn't that something? Yeah, so this is interesting because you, a lot of times people view this type of talk for just women who actually have men who actually come as well. I've held.

Speaker 3:

So many men like men are a great clientele because you know what's so funny about them. It takes them a lot to get them in the door because they feel like this is vanity, this is stupid. I shouldn't worry about this. I have bigger things to worry about. I also feel like there's a lot of appreciation when you could take a guy who's maybe running his business very busy, has no time for himself, he's giving it to his family, he's giving it to his career and then he comes in with the problem. Maybe it's because of cryotherapy for pain, maybe it's because he hasn't worked out in 10 years, but he used to be in this great shape, maybe it is his skin. And if you can really show him okay, look, we're going to make this simple, we're going to make this easy You're going to feel better, they're very appreciative and they become a very loyal clientele base.

Speaker 2:

They don't they want to stick with what works, they really do.

Speaker 1:

And they also make it okay for their children.

Speaker 3:

And they do. They show their children. I have a lot of young guys who come in. The moms will drag them in the door kicking and screaming when they come in for their skin consultation. They're breaking out because of football, they have to wear these helmets or whatever they do. They don't want to even talk to me.

Speaker 2:

They don't even look me in the eyes.

Speaker 3:

I'm asking them questions.

Speaker 2:

I'm like oh God.

Speaker 3:

I don't want to do this as much as you don't want to do, but it's so funny. You help them and they see that, okay, you're improving something, and then all of a sudden they just open up and they come to life and that's very rewarding Of course, cause we have.

Speaker 2:

literally, you can't hide your skin. Like it's not, like you could put it's not like you could put anything over bad skin, or you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 3:

Makeup makes it worse and for guys it is worse because a young teenage guy's skin's breaking out he's. And it is worse when you get in your 20s. That's what happened to me. My skin was perfect in high school and then I got to my 20s and it just said see ya.

Speaker 1:

We're going to teach you a lesson, so you help everybody else in the world.

Speaker 3:

Right right, we're going to make this brutal.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's a beautiful story, Greg would see it like that.

Speaker 2:

You're right, greg would see Created the process.

Speaker 1:

The pain created the process and when you tell that story, your sales will go up 800%.

Speaker 3:

If you just tell your story, yeah, and people look at my skin now and they're like because half the time now it's so funny, like I say I wear less makeup now at 39. And I do Like I don't even care half the time, as long as I have my lash, extensions, brows on point. You have to look polished. You can't look like you rolled, rolled out of bed. But they don't believe it. And they should believe it because it was a process.

Speaker 2:

They see the end result. They don't see the journey. So can you tell us a little bit about a rundown of some of the things that people can expect to find at Color Vanity that?

Speaker 3:

you offer. Yes, so Color Vanity was built first, right. So that's where the beauty side came the facials, the microblading, all the holistic beauty treatments for the body or the face. But in doing that I did fall in love with the whole internal process of how do I make somebody better from the inside out. And my first love was the cryotherapy chamber. Nothing compares to it, not the cold plunge, not anything else people try to fake it with right, it is the best.

Speaker 3:

It's three minutes, you're in and out and it does so much for your body and I can appreciate that because it's dropping my inflammation. I did notice an improvement in my skin because it helped detoxify. So in falling in love with that, I got into the whole health realm where I brought in holistic machines and a holistic process that basically not only tangibly shows you hey, this is what's going on with your body, but shows you okay, because now we've scanned you and because this is what's going on with your body, we have a plan and you should do X, y and Z versus just being like so I'm able to help people holistically internally and then I'm able to help them on the outside too, if we are dealing with skin, and they can find a little bit of all of it, everything at color vanity is something I'm passionate about and something that I personally use and no works.

Speaker 3:

Wouldn't have it there if it didn't absolutely the.

Speaker 2:

I would say the starting point is this really cool body scan? Yeah, so what all does the body scan so somebody could come in the door and say, okay, like the body. I always say the body scan, don't lie. So, oh crap, I thought I did good. And I gained three pounds of fat and muscle. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3:

My health score went down.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and you're. It sees how much water is in your cells, like how?

Speaker 3:

much water you're retaining and stuff.

Speaker 2:

So tell the listeners a little bit about what, because that might get some people in the door because they really don't know the state of their body or health. And we'll talk about inflammation too.

Speaker 3:

Absolutely To your point, Craig. People want to be aware at the first of the year, right, they want to worry about it then. But what I saw so many of my clients do last year who were part of the 3-2-1 fitness and recovery program is they would lose like 25 pounds, they would let it go and literally the average weight gain was like almost 12 pounds. They'd almost gain half back. So what I really did this season, what I'm trying to help people with, is exactly what you said Be more aware.

Speaker 3:

Going into the season, like we're all going to have fun, we're going to go out, we're going to eat, we're going to drink, do whatever you want. Life should be lived and it should be fun. But be aware because, like it is a long road to travel back when you just pull the rip cord, you know. So the health scan is really cool because whether you're there for the athletic recovery and that whole portion of the business, or if you're there for anti-aging and beauty generally, I do start with the health scan because it tells us so much about is your inflammation high? Is your health score low? Is your muscle mass non-existent?

Speaker 2:

Because everyone starts especially women, oh I should lose weight.

Speaker 3:

Maybe you need to lift and put some muscle on, because that'll drop fat and you don't have to be psychotic about the weight on the scale. So the health scan that I have is really cool because it is it's a very in-depth one. It's nobody I know has it around in this area. I think the closest place you can get it is Cleveland. This in depth. There are other health scans in the area, but this one really goes a deep dive and it's a cool place to start because then you have a roadmap to hey, what we? Maybe we can't fix everything. Let's fix the most important thing on the list yeah, that's amazing we also talked about.

Speaker 1:

We talked about the whole psychology of doing things for others, and you brought the fact that you've got to do this for yourself, but we also brought up the fact what about your future self? I love that yeah what I'm saying is you see their future self when they come in yeah, I can always see ahead, which is a blessing and a curse. But it's true, Honestly. I work with all kinds of professionals to get better at something.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And if you don't see where I can be as a coach, then I don't want to work with you.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Right.

Speaker 1:

That's a quintessential difference. You've got to prepare a future self that I can fight for.

Speaker 2:

Yes, absolutely, yeah, absolutely. And the cool thing is so this is what's different, too is you're not getting a scan where you say, okay, I have this percentage of body fat and this percentage of muscle, and that's it. Like you?

Speaker 3:

said it's in-depth. No, it's your health score.

Speaker 2:

But then if you do need a lift. She has this amazingly cool machine where you could box and it tells you like you put on the boxing gloves and then you hit the high, the low, the middle. It tells you which ones to do, so it's actually training you and it's like a machine with an interactive machine. Oh, you're talking about the workout portion? The workout portion? Sure?

Speaker 3:

So if you're there, for the workout portion of 3-2-1, which we call 3-2-1 Tread Fitness. Everything's interactive, Everything's fun, because I can't stand a boring workout. If you want to go to a treadmill and be a hamster, be my guest right, like it's just not it, it's just not going to be Keep on running.

Speaker 3:

It's not going to be the 3-2-1 program. It really is designed to the machines. They're supposed to be interactive. Fun boxing is one of them. Digital way to work out pilates reform, all interactive so you can enjoy it, yeah, and do traditional cardio on your own time or somewhere else, but this is to get you like excited, yeah, and just involved yeah and then okay, so if that's not enough.

Speaker 2:

so after after this is my favorite thing. After I would do the workout because it's custom, so I log in, I put it's Debbie and then they see where I left off. Yeah. I should just screw somebody else up and hit their profile. No kidding.

Speaker 3:

And just go for it, and just go for it.

Speaker 2:

They'd be like no kidding Anyway. So then, afterwards, I love sitting in the sauna. That is my favorite thing, I put on some like maybe some jazz music, some relaxing music. It is so amazing so I would go and work out, looking forward to the sauna afterwards too. And then she has one of those really cool massage chairs, so it.

Speaker 3:

She has like different packages and yeah different, it's just.

Speaker 1:

It's amazing because it really does take care of your whole body so one part of the story we're missing now because everybody's going where is this? How do I get in touch? What do I do? So we better plug that right now.

Speaker 3:

Okay, the main location is right across from the Southern Park Mall. It's on California Avenue next to 717. That's the main color vanity location. It's at 7371 California Avenue and, yeah, so it's right here. It's very centrally located. It's whether you live in Canfield, poland, portland, whatever, you're there in 10-15 minutes so website colorvanitybeautycom. I keep everything on there. So when you get there it's a little overwhelming because we have the 321, we have all the holistic med, spa stuff, but it's there for you to just but you consult.

Speaker 1:

Somebody comes in and you consult.

Speaker 3:

So you just book. You can book online, book what looks good to you. Consultations there's multiple options for those, so you can really figure out what's like. Where do you want to start?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. Have you ever did cryotherapy?

Speaker 1:

Not yet. I'm going to Okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's fun Three minutes. I look forward to hearing your description of it.

Speaker 1:

Well, I have a lot of friends that are in the pro sports, oh you, do One of my buddy's sons just hurt his wrist and he's going to be an NFL player. He'll probably if he stays healthy, I would say he's going to bump up against Tom Brady's records.

Speaker 2:

Wow, come on.

Speaker 1:

Axel Eason is his name. He's Drew Eason's nephew, bo Eason's son. He's going to be going to UC Davis. Wow, because he's not working. Here's a real big thing in school. When you're playing football or you want to play football or any sport, you don't play to play in high school. You don't play to play in college, you play to be a pro. You give up all the accolades and all the stuff so you're. You're on the ultimate goal, which is to be a pro, and that's his goal okay and he's just.

Speaker 1:

I mean, he's been doing this since he was eight years old.

Speaker 3:

He gets up at five o'clock in the morning and works out.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god but he got hurt and it was cryotherapy. It is um the booth where you go in and it takes the oxygen and the atmosphere is up. Oh wow, hyperbaric, hyperbaric chamber and the laser therapy, everything, and he's pretty much ready to go.

Speaker 3:

Incredible and so that's how we really we treat athletes the same way when you do the 321 program. It's whole body, it's localized, it's a lot of different tricks and machines. I have a whole body pain treatment machine that basically helps with lymphatic drainage and helps stimulate muscle recovery. I have athletic recovery water. They can take a little bit of the program with them home. Yeah, but I love what he said, because when you're treating an injury, especially for these athletes who come in here because we deal with the elite athletes here, I understand that not every high school athlete is going to have the time or the budget to be treated that way, but our athletes that come in the door they're expected to perform and they need that.

Speaker 3:

And so when, when they come in, we do, we treat them like several different ways just to get them to recover. And then the best part that I love seeing is the people who are proactive, because they just keep themselves ready, so their muscles aren't getting overly tight, because they have the focus on it.

Speaker 1:

Let me just give one little thing here. I've learned over the years. You can spend a little bit of money over a long period of time and get no results. Or you can spend a little bit more money and go to period of time yeah and get no results. Or you can spend a little bit more money and go to something that works right and be done and that's it, that's good and that's actually kind of why I call it three, two, one, because it's supposed to be just like that.

Speaker 3:

It's supposed to be something that's quick, that works but it's efficient. But yeah, you have to still put the time and you still have to show. You do have to budget for it and the benefits are worth it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. Can you give us a couple of? I know? When I've been in there, I've seen people and talked to different people. Can you give us a couple stories, maybe just quick illustrations, of people who've benefited from your, from what you got you're able to offer?

Speaker 3:

Sure, like one one, one of my clients. I'm so proud of her. She is an entrepreneur her and her husband and she has her hands in so much stuff. She helps with fundraisers. She's just always busy and last year she really didn't like her weight. She didn't like where it ended up. She had gained and she wanted to lose 25 pounds. And she's in her sixties and she did, and I was so proud of her. She really stuck with it. She showed up, she worked past it and people say age she was in her 60s and she looks phenomenal. She's beautiful, great shape, so I'm very proud of her. She also was part of the story that I said, though, during the holidays last year decided to take her foot off the gas, pretty much gained 12 pounds back, but but she did lose it again. Nice, she's somebody who I've watched do it twice now she's like an actress or an actor.

Speaker 1:

She's gaining and losing for the roles. It's literally so funny.

Speaker 3:

But she was one. And then one of the other guys. He owns his own business and he literally said he was a guy who told me oh, I used to be in the best shape, and oh, I used to be in the best shape, and oh, I used to compete and life got a hold of him. He's running his own business.

Speaker 3:

He's taking care of his family. And he just gave that up and he said that I'm going to. What's really cool about 321 is you plan your time. That time is yours. You're not just going into a rat race gym situation. And he did. He came back at it and I don't think he was going to compete anytime soon. He said but he looks great, he's in his forties and he really. I watched him over three to four months just take his life back and it was funny when he planned his success, like how it happened.

Speaker 3:

Like it was no longer. I'll get there when I get there. It was. I'm going to be there at 6 AM Monday, wednesday and Friday, and that's my time. And he did it.

Speaker 2:

Amazing, that's amazing. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, yeah, and then okay, last, but you pushed over it real quick. Okay, talk to us about inflammation and why you have the alkaline water, and I know we're coming to a. No, we're good, we're good, no, no this is, and they used to think that disease caused inflammation. But there were certain voices that just kept at it, and now people are starting to realize that it's inflammation that causes some of the diseases.

Speaker 1:

Well, I think that you know, with Kennedy getting involved, and at least having a voice and people hearing that for the first time and the kids are unhealthy. They just are unhealthy period. We have more children on all kinds of medications than we've ever had before.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's horrible, it's sad we have kids that are overweight.

Speaker 1:

more than ever before, we've got to do this as an example for our children more than anything. If we don't take care of ourselves, we set the example as adults.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely agree. I have nieces and nephews I don't even have kids and I'm like, okay, yes, let's do this, let's pay attention.

Speaker 3:

I eat organic for the most part, and I just wonder why is it that you pay three times that just to not have chemicals in your food? Inflammation is a real thing. Acidity cancer is acidic disease, and the more acidic your body is, the more receptive you can be to that. If you have it genetically, lifestyle is what's going to be what pulls the trigger. So you want to do what you can to prolong that or at least back off of that situation, right? So the water that is available as part of the 321 program is not only alkaline, but it's infused with molecular hydrogen, which is a very potent antioxidant. It's one of the most potent. One glass of it is equivalent to 20 glasses of green tea five pounds of blueberries.

Speaker 3:

People can't wrap their head around it because it's water, right. So the thing that I always tell people to do is, if the one thing you can change, or willing to change, is just you're going to drink water anyway, drink something that's doing all this for you right Work smarter, not harder, so that's really what it's about.

Speaker 3:

It's not necessarily alkaline, although it is alkalized Right, because true alkaline water can't be bottled, it can't be on the shelf. So the things that you're paying for at the store, that is a chemical change, not a molecular change. So a chemical change, not a molecular change. So a chemical change is basically like putting baking soda in your water and drinking it. So, unfortunately, that's where I started with alkaline water. That was part of my journey.

Speaker 1:

You're overpaying for baking soda and water and, honestly, we've had professional athletes, olympic athletes, come to Comco and speak. I have them whenever they're around, I have. That's a whole different way of thinking. It's literally what you think. And they're around I have, because that's a whole different way of thinking. It's literally what you think, oh yeah, and they don't. They say, oh, that stuff makes me sick, I'll get the real. I got the high-end water once and they said, oh, that's garbage.

Speaker 2:

What oh?

Speaker 1:

yeah.

Speaker 3:

They said it's garbage. It is.

Speaker 1:

I'd rather just drink a nice spring water, untreated.

Speaker 3:

Than all the fancy stuff, see stuff, because it's, he says, that'll make me physically sick. I can't. I won't say the brand, but I got him one of the high-end brands. Oh, that's junk. Yeah, it'll actually. It could actually destroy the lining in your stomach over time. Wow, the alkalized water is has molecular hydrogen in it, okay, and the molecules are actually it's reduced water, so the molecular structure of it is shrunk, so our cells can absorb it.

Speaker 2:

And so traditional water.

Speaker 3:

The cells are very large and our cells don't absorb it. So it's as far as you want to go with your health. It's a higher form of health. And so if you are going to take the time to invest, then one of the very few things you could switch is just switch your water, and you have a program for that.

Speaker 2:

It's part of the program, so not only again with the 3-2-1,.

Speaker 3:

it's everything it's outside. It's inside down to your water, so it's a part of it.

Speaker 1:

I mean, the one thing we have in life is time and health, right, right. And I just thought of the big question right now Are you better off four years ago than you?

Speaker 2:

are today.

Speaker 1:

But what if you took care of yourself and you felt better four years later than you do now?

Speaker 3:

Four months. Let's talk about four weeks. Right, let's talk about that.

Speaker 1:

How fast do you start to see results when you fully buy in and you practice the program like you're supposed to?

Speaker 3:

So for myself, for people who have came in and I say clients, they've really all so many of them became like friends, Like Debbie, so many people I've become so close to, and I want to see you succeed. She'll tell you. I am a pain. I'm like the hardest. I'm like do I have to come spend the night at your house and drag you in to work out, Like, what are we doing here? I'm going to do this, though.

Speaker 2:

It's going to be a major Listen we're in Toastmasters, we can pull the line and bring her in. Yeah, just drag her in. Just drop her off at the front. Okay, how fast oh so how fast?

Speaker 3:

Okay, now I'm laughing and I'm forgetting what. Okay, so how fast. What's really funny is with the health scan and that's what I love about it it's tangible proof. So I brought that in because people, for so long they try these things and they didn't wake up and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow the unicorn didn't appear on their front yard. So they think, oh, did it really work? I don't know what miracle they were expecting, but I love the health scan because I was able to show people in a quick like honestly, three to four weeks, I mean, your results will change on paper in three to four weeks if you follow some version of a protocol you have to, even from week to week.

Speaker 2:

It was rewarding when I was doing the right thing and there were times that because you could see your weight and then you could see your muscle and you could see so your health score. Health score the inflammation all these things that we don't know on the scale there were times that my overall weight might have gone up like one or two pounds, but my health score went up because it was less fat and more muscle.

Speaker 3:

And.

Speaker 2:

I was like, oh, like that was so rewarding Cause. Otherwise you stand on a scale and you're going oh, I gained weight.

Speaker 3:

Oh, whatever you know, especially for women, cause that's usually what happens, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So to be able to see it and be like, oh, I'm actually losing fat, I'm gaining muscle, that's so exciting.

Speaker 3:

Week to week. Honestly, that's the result. I mean they might be small, but progress is progress and that's what you have to celebrate, because that's what keeps you motivated long term.

Speaker 2:

I checked out my score compared to some other people's and I was like on the lower, yeah, debbie was creeping on other people's health score. I caught her.

Speaker 1:

No people's health score.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I caught her, no no so why are you sifting through the? It's really funny. Nobody put their name on it, so don't worry.

Speaker 1:

Human beings are absolutely competitive.

Speaker 3:

We're so competitive we are.

Speaker 1:

Just think there's 3 million chances you could be somebody else.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, oh, wow. So I'm going to start hanging people's health scores with gold stars.

Speaker 1:

Maybe that'll motivate people. You should. That'll motivate people. You know what?

Speaker 3:

I think you should do is if they hit their goal, you actually get a unicorn you put in their front yard, don't put it past me. Yeah, that's right, you had to. Totally I would totally do it.

Speaker 1:

That's funny. You know what I think it's time for.

Speaker 2:

Oh, rapid fire, you do. Okay. What has been the biggest lesson learned so far in business?

Speaker 3:

Oh boy, Just let something go when it's not working. And that is not part of my personality, I will hold on. I will figure it out. You don't throw good energy at bad energy If something's not working. If someone's not working, you know. If something is not right, let it go the first time you see it happen. You save yourself a lot of stress. You save yourself a lot of money.

Speaker 2:

So good, so good, wow, okay, what is the latest podcast you've listened to or the most impactful?

Speaker 1:

Joe Rogan, I love Joe Rogan, jordan Peterson, so it's kind of my thing, but most recently Joe Rogan.

Speaker 2:

He's never boring. I met him accidentally in LA.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I swear to God, I was with my brother. We showed up late.

Speaker 2:

It's my thing being fashionably late for things and we were.

Speaker 3:

We lost our seats at a comedy show and he literally walked out. He was crossing over to the other side. He walked out, grabbed my brother by the shoulder and said what's up, man? I thought he was gonna scream a little girl. And we just said what's? He was just the coolest guy. He walked away and, yeah, we all died a little. It was so cool.

Speaker 2:

But he's awesome.

Speaker 3:

That's so cool. It was a really it was a cool night.

Speaker 2:

So it paid off to be a little late. Oh, shoot Well, was he performing that night, or was he just there? He was just announcing. He was okay.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, for the other comedians and stuff. So that was really cool, that's amazing, that's amazing.

Speaker 2:

Shout out or talk about someone who has who, who inspires you.

Speaker 3:

Okay, unpopular opinion Maybe not. No Trump, honestly for me. Trump. He's resilient.

Speaker 2:

He shows up authentically. You know what you're getting when Trump shows up. You know what I mean. Like I like you straight forward. If he came out and grabbed your, I would die.

Speaker 3:

Oh no, I would die, my brother would be okay, yeah, I actually got interviewed by Fox at my first Trump rally.

Speaker 3:

So no, but no, I really a lot of the one in Butler was no God but no, I really the parts of him that I really can appreciate remind me of business. You have to be resilient, you have to have a thick skin, you have to keep going. I don't know too many people would have got shot and just kept running. So many people have been like you know what. This is where I tap out. But that's like business. How many times do you fail before you succeed?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I think that changed him. He's not the same guy.

Speaker 3:

He's not the same guy. We were just talking about this.

Speaker 1:

He's much more into. I got to get this done. I got to do a good job. I got to get the right people. Like that's what he's talking about now and that excites me.

Speaker 3:

I think he understands that he was really given a second chance and you know I believe in.

Speaker 2:

God wholeheartedly, and I feel like for me that was God that day. There was no other explanation. Yeah, watching the footage over and over again man, how did this just happen? No, so close.

Speaker 3:

To be able to have something like that happen. I think it's a wake-up call. Like you were given a second chance, do good with it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely kind of like we are all in all reality, all are every day yeah, there are some times when I think you are, but like we don't even know. There was one time I fell asleep while I was falling you fell asleep once I was driving I was working at ups.

Speaker 2:

I was like yeah, and I was like oh man, I couldn't wait right and I woke up right before slamming into the like right stop, just before slamming into the semi truck that had stopped in front of me. And so every day you could thank God that we're alive and like how many close calls have we had? Even, and just have no idea.

Speaker 1:

I just feel like that was a very public miracle and we could all appreciate it and that doesn't happen every day, I always find one thing in our guests that's unique she has gratitude.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

She really does.

Speaker 2:

Thank you yeah.

Speaker 3:

I do I really do. I'm very grateful for everything. And it was against me that I could open. Everybody when I opened this business told me what are you nuts? Wow, I swear to God. I had everybody tell me. My family members, very close people to me at the time were like don't open a beauty business in Youngstown. What are you crazy? They said go to Pittsburgh. Why don't you go to New York? Why don't you do it? And my mom was Watch where you expand, it's okay.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you expand, but my mom was one of the ones you know.

Speaker 2:

If you could be a legend in your own town, you can be like I don't know about a legend, but anywhere I'm trying. That's true, that's your trailblazer, that's for sure. No, that's really cool, so shout out to your mom right now, for, yeah, she's leaving.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you know, because it was hard to sign the lease. I was younger, you weren't. It was intimidating, but I did it and I'm happy about it.

Speaker 1:

So it's getting close to Christmas, right, so can people come in and buy gift certificates.

Speaker 3:

Absolutely so. We have a lot of fun promos between now and Christmas coming up that are on some of the most popular services. There's something going on right now it's the last week for it, but Lash Bash, so check that out on social media, but there'll be a little preview of something for microblading. That's a very popular Christmas gift. I am doing a 30 day antioxidant reset where they can come in, get the health scan and do their thing for $29.99.

Speaker 3:

I'm only like literally it's so silly, but I'm just doing it because it's just do it now before the holidays. I would never offer this. It's such a low price, like why am I even? Oh my goodness, yeah, but it's just so people can, like you said, Greg, see where they stand prior to the holidays, even if they're not ready to start the diet, have something on paper that says, hey, this is where I'm starting, yeah, and then have some knowledge.

Speaker 1:

So I'm doing that, as that's going to be between now and christmas, the 30-day antioxidant reset, yeah, but gift cards, we're here for it. We're here to help you out where you were, you located again, and how do people get in touch?

Speaker 3:

okay, so right across from the southern park mall, next to the 717 credit union, that's color vanity and 321 is inside of color vanity, so it's two businesses really at this point in one and the best I know people are busy so you could text the spa number.

Speaker 1:

And the website is.

Speaker 3:

ColorVanityBeautycom.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

Thank you so much.

Speaker 2:

Thanks guys, this was fun. Thanks for stopping in.
